Yes, you are probably right about those friends. I had a conversation with one last week. I actually apologised to him because he had taken my posts on Social Media as personal insults. I only apologised for the fact that they were not aimed at him personally and he shouldn't take them that way.

What disturbed me more was his take that even when I've shared things deliberately about our PM, he saw those as personal attacks.

Then he said "maybe one day we can go back to the tongue-in-cheek humor that we used to do." That is where they don't understand how those racist jokes and cartoons they forward permeate and offend. That they see me as "woke" or too PC because I call them out now.

The thing with him is that we have been like brothers at times and I am Godfather to both his daughters. I'll just keep trying to talk to him like I did last week and maybe get through eventually.
