Vices, or Obsessions? Do We All Have Them? What Are Yours?

I’ve always sworn that I have an addictive personality. The things I’ve beat or still do through my long life have been many. How far do we go back? In my case, probably to the first time I picked up a book or drew sketches during school lessons, instead of listening. As I grew into my teens it became fashion and music, later into drugs, and alcohol, then a mid-life crisis brought on sex, will it all end with love?

I’ll run through most of mine here, perhaps readers will have others of their own that we can all share, I might even try them if I haven’t already. 😉

French Cigarettes- The smell of Gauloises, & Gitanes, I still love the smell of a French bar. That toasted strong tobacco aroma was one I adored. Because they were so strong to inhale I would only smoke a few each day. The make-up of them was prone to get crushed in your pocket so they always had that sophisticated look about them. I eventually gave them up on January 1st,1993 but if anyone else smoked them nearby, I would sidle up and inhale the passive smoke. It probably took me 18 months to lose that habit but just giving up, cold turkey was a lesson to me in stopping later addictions.
