Pattaya Life: My Local Bar Was Fun While It Lasted!

I’d been using the Balloon Bar for a few weeks and had become used to an afternoon game of pool and some flirting with the girls. It was a small edge of town place, open-air, four or five bar girls a dozen or so seats and a pool table along with big screen tv and loud music.

Over the next few visits Ni came on to me more and more, and wore better and better outfits, she really did try hard and I appreciated it, but I must admit I was teasing her, knowing that eventually, she would catch me at a weak moment. They are funny peculiar these Bar Girls in Pattaya. Sometimes, in some ways they make it plain as the nose on your face that they fancy you, but on the other hand, you know that they are also after money, they are, after all, selling sex, maybe in a more subtle way than an out and out hooker, and they would not agree with you if you told them that was what they were, but at the end of the day at least they enjoy and so do you when it is done in this way. It may be a cultural thing, I don’t know, but most of us who have lived or worked over there would happily keep up the system, the girls are why we are there at the end of the day and also vice versa, vice being an unintended pun there. Out on the “Dark Side”, where the Balloon Bar was situated, there are many small bars, mainly used by émigrés, that are more relaxed, more of a local pub than the bars…
