My guess is that to us in the West Africa has always been a violent Continent since the colonisers pulled out. Whereas Israel is a democracy of sorts despite being the bully at the moment. Since WW2 the other western nations feel the guilt of the European genocide and have sponsored Israel's survival over the others.
