I know that I'm reading your post here after the events, but as I'm from the UK and as the old adage goes here is that when America sneezes we catch a cold and right now that is happening to us here.

As writers and people of liberal values we see their plans for fascism but in general the masses do not. They go along with the nationalism eagerly. I just published a piece on here which eerily is so similar to your foreboding here of a year ago!

The Johnson government has rigged our voting and is now actively suppressing proportional voting we already used. They are bringing in laws to suppress protest. It is as if they saw what didn't work for Trump and are preparing already. They have 3 more years in power and we have much conflict to go.

The economy is tanked because of their Brexit mantra of taking our sovereignty back, another lie because we had never lost it, and the reaction to the pandemic shutdowns are driving everyone down to 1920's poverty.

Now they are suggesting that those who don't get behind the flag and Queen should leave, we all know who they are aiming that at don't we?

I fear that they may succeed here where you beat them. Pray for us.
