It is a fun process for me.

I start with an outline plot but the story leads me day by day.

I write first thing in the morning. A minimum of 500 words, maybe more if I'm flowing, but that is my minimum. Then I leave it and do other work or articles, blogs etc.

Come bed time I read what I wrote earlier. Then sleep thinking on it and what to write in the morning.

Then start again. Each day until I'm done.

I leave it to stew for about a month.

Now the part I hate as it can bore me.

Then I'll read through it about 3 times, editing as I go.

Then I send to a proper editor for content, continuity, style and grammar.

When they are done with it I read through again to make sure they've got the characters/story how I want it.

Then it's off to the publisher.
