I came back to the UK after many years working away. Just getting too old to pick up more international projects and losing most of my money in the last crash. I was shocked at what we had become, at what my old friends had as a political viewpoint. So much so that some tell me I am in danger of alienating them because of my "extremist" politics! Because I don't buy into the nationalism and flag-waving I am now often cut off even in our friendly WhatsApp group for mentioning a political happening, but when they stick something on there it's ok and I'm just being 'woke' or revising history!

If I could get more work overseas I'd be off again tomorrow, the country has become a hateful place to live.
