It sounds like you and I are from the same era. I agree that things seem to have changed in the intervening years since the ’60s and like you, I am dealing better with the ageing because of my more liberal attitude learnt from then. I am lucky to look, or so I’ve been told, 10 to 15 years younger than my 70 and make the most of it. My work and travel took me to many other countries where age is revered and experiences learnt from those of more eastern persuasion has ensured my attitudes and sympathies learnt in the hippy days were entirely correct.
