Hi Lauren,

Thanks for the nice response.

In some ways having this condition since a very young age has made me fight harder to survive.

I left school with only 1 English Language qualification, which exam I paid for myself, in spite of the school back then denying my right to take it. Since then I got more by myself than traditional school gave me. I studied French and travelled the world through my work. Luckily learned on the job on construction and engineering jobs.

My last proper job before the pandemic, and being deemed too old by the usual societal concerns, was as Country Manager in China for 2 years on a project value of over US$75million, where I was awarded a degree in Engineering Management at the ripe old age of 67 years.

All that did was encourage me back to my first love of writing so since that enforced retirement I've written 12 novels numerous blogs and articles on here of various genres and even run my own property business for a while.

I'm not rich yet but still trying and surviving at 74 and going strong. So long as my left eye is 100% I'll keep it up.

BTW your prosthetic eye is hardly noticeable and looks beautiful in the pics.

Take care of it, and yourself.

Byron
