That apartment area I lived in Tianjin was surrounded by a fence and had only 2 entrances through security barriers, which meant a long walk around from the shops. Every time they fixed a missing fence post or rail, it would only take 2-3 days before a new one was cut out.

My Chinese friends always laughed and used to take bets on how many days. It was hilarious.
