Getting Fired in Dubai, Got Me Blown Away by 3 Different Women In 1 Day!

I had been working hard on a construction project in Dubai, but the office hours and money were good and let me live a playboy life. I also had another client who wanted me to cover a representative visit to handle a product demonstration back in the UK. I gambled on the weekend’s different days. Dubai’s days of rest were Friday and Saturday with Sunday being the day back to work. I took a flight back on Thursday evening and did my UK sales presentation on the Friday, then flew directly back to Dubai that evening, just making it back late on Saturday.

It was a hectic gamble and the boring start to the week on-site was a general meeting of all contractors at 09.00 am. There was a crowd of almost 20 people packed into a small office with insufficient air conditioning. Most were drowsy from their weekend exertions and it was just a routine around the table update. My flights and jet lag caught up with me for I kept nodding and fighting off sleep, but I made it through, the meeting broke up and we carried on as normal at our extremely hot desks in the heart of the Dubai hot summer. Our office was a large wooden site hut, it might have looked like a 2-storey office block, but basically, it was a temporary building made from thin plywood panels and extremely hot in the Dubai summer.
