From here in the UK it seems so familiar after Trump and his pals used us as a dry run with the Brexit vote.

It is still causing rifts as our name calling of each other is even more prevalent now we are suffering from leaving the EU and all our predictions are coming true. But 'they' still don't see it, they still believe with blind faith, it is weird.

How do people not see further down the road seems to be the question here? The obvious whipping up of mobs, the general nastiness just reeks of the old Nazis.

I saw on TV how in 2016 Trump got people thrown out of his rallies and that was enough to know that he would never ever accept another point of view than his. Always his way or the highway, never brook an argument, even a mild one. It is why only his family will work with him, they are all beneficiaries or bullied. The difference to an Obama rally, where the man eloquently took down hecklers rather than encourage violence or physical removal just highlighted it all for me.

Unluckily for us in the UK, we've still got the incompetents in power. If I could trade my passport and get to a more reasonable place by the sea, where politics can be ignored I'd be off tomorrow, but as I've always said to my pals who try to also ignore the extremists, politics is life and those nazis have to be fought.
