Congratulations, that is the start of being open and proud of who you are as a writer.

Since I started changing over to consider myself a "Writer" and all the rest as facilitating that end it hasn't helped my bank balance but made me so proud of my writing. That in turn has increased my output, varied the genres and generated some interest.

It is all part of being who we really are and not the compromises we've had to be to survive.

It has lost me a few old friends of late, from the right wing fraternity, but now people can see "the real me" as I always should have been.
