I've watched most of the convention from the UK and found it uplifting to see and feel the energy that like-minded souls can produce with a positive outlook.

I've also worked and lived in China, and like most countries the people are lovely, the government is shit, but better than it was. The people have had too many improvements to let it go back, and Xi knows that. The only thing he has support for from the public is, like so many fools elsewhere, nationalist populism. In his case it's Taiwan. But it ain't no different to the bile that spews from Trump's fans.

At least the DNC Billionaire backers are generally more for the people, not wholly their own biz.
