A Strange Mania Affects the United Kingdom
There is some sort of collective hysteria in the United Kingdom now as hordes of people stream to palaces around the land to lay flowers or marmalade sandwiches at mini shrines to the deceased Queen. It is a good example of how people become part of a cult similar to those of MAGA in the USA.
Why on earth would you lay flowers and grieve for someone you had never met or was not part of your own close friends or family?
I believe that as a nation, we were indoctrinated and brainwashed from school age onwards to believe in “our country right or wrong.” It is very frightening to see all these people zombie-like, queuing throughout the night to walk past an unopened coffin, which is being traipsed around the country with full military honors. How would you even know if she was in it? She could be at embalmers now, and they could all be part of an elaborate confidence trick. Now the thought of that really makes me laugh.
For many of the dependents of the diaspora of the old British empire, this is an insult. They are having their noses rubbed in for the colonization, raping, and pillaging of their descendent countries.
